The aspiration of Oloye Adebayo Adelabu , the governorship candidate of Accord received a major boost on Wednesday as five political parties have entered into an alliance to back him for the March 11, 2023.

The alliance was sealed late Wednesday evening between Adelabu and representatives of the six parties. The meeting to firm up the agreement was held at a location in Iyaganku GRA.

According to a source,“the thrust of the whole agreement was premised on the fact that none of the parties can go it alone and achieve victory.

The converse side also is that neither Teslim Folarin of the APC and Governor Seyi Makinde have the political strength to win the coming election. The parties therefore felt Adelabu has a better chance in the coming election.

Folarin has a negative image and the people do not want him. Similarly, Governor Makinde has lost most of his supporters, some of who are part of this alliance. That leaves Adelabu as a viable option”, the Source explained.
