Former Deputy Governor of Oyo State and Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) stalwart, Alhaji Hazeem Gbolarumi, has extended his heartfelt congratulations to Nigerians as they usher in the New Year. He urged citizens to embrace tolerance, understanding, hard work, and sincerity in all their endeavors.

In a statement released in Ibadan by his spokesman, Olaniyi Stephen, Gbolarumi described 2025 as a year of blessings and abundant opportunities for Nigeria. He called on Nigerians to pray for the nation, emphasizing that the country’s progress depends on fostering a peaceful environment.

The former deputy governor highlighted the importance of overcoming Nigeria’s current security and economic challenges, urging citizens to remain hopeful and steadfast. He appealed to politicians to uphold the principles of fair play, avoid provocative language, and prioritize the nation’s interests over personal ambitions.

He prayed for divine guidance for Governor Makinde to continue steering the state toward greater development. Additionally, he encouraged the government to empower youths by promoting meaningful ventures that would contribute to the state’s growth.

He expressed gratitude to the people of Oyo State for their patience, support, and understanding toward the Makinde administration, urging them to sustain their cooperation. Gbolarumi also called on residents to remain vigilant and prioritize security consciousness in light of current challenges.

In his message, Gbolarumi encouraged Oyo State residents to set aside religious and political differences and rally behind Governor Makinde’s administration. He further emphasized the need for collective prayers to address Nigeria’s insecurity and economic difficulties.

As he wished Nigerians a prosperous 2025, Gbolarumi expressed optimism that both Nigeria and Oyo State would reach their full potential, meeting the aspirations of their citizens.
