A sociopolitical group, Ade Ori Okin loyal to former Deputy Governor of Oyo State, Hazeem Gbolarumi has dissociated themselves from statement credited to a platform called PDP Vanguard who drummed support for candidate of All Progressive Congress (APC), Senator Teslim Folarin in the forthcoming governorship election in the state.

According to the PDP Vanguard group on Wednesday, no fewer than 190,000 thousand supporters of the political party have declared support for Folarin, for the March 11th gubernatorial election in Oyo State.

But reacting on Thursday, the Ade Ori Okin group in a statement signed by Agboola Alphonso distanced Gbolarumi group from the statement that drummed support for the gubernatorial candidate.

According to the statement, it is not ideal to speak for all members of the political party without getting their collective consent.

“We under the PDP chieftain in the state, Chief Hazeem Gbolarumi had not at anytime sit with any PDP Vanguard to pledge support for Senator Teslim Folarin. Even though the attitude of the state governor, Engr. Seyi Makinde is very painful for working against his political party, PDP to allow opposition party, APC presidential candidate emerged winner.

“We want to say categorically that we are not part of move to work with any political party to make their governorship candidates emerged winner in the coming March 11, governorship election.
