Unknown gunmen have reportedly attacked Akaleku village in Obi Local Government Area of Nasarawa State, killing a newly married man and abducting his wife.
According to reports, the attack, which occurred around 11 p.m. on Wednesday, has sparked fear and panic among residents of the community.
Eyewitnesses told Vanguard that the victims, identified as Mr. and Mrs. Alu Anzaku, had recently tied the knot on April 12, 2025. The gunmen reportedly shot and killed Mr. Anzaku before kidnapping his wife, whose whereabouts remain unknown.
Family members and friends have expressed deep concern over her disappearance as the community reels from the tragic incident.
