A hit-and-run driver has claimed the life of Mrs. Ojo Mojisola Idowu, a resident of the Alakia Isebo community in Ibadan, the capital of Oyo State. The incident occurred around 9:00 pm on a recent evening when Mrs. Idowu was walking home from a nearby shop. Eyewitnesses reported that a speeding vehicle struck the woman, running over her head with full force. Passers-by rushed to her aid and took her to the hospital, but the woman succumbed to her severe head injuries before receiving medical treatment.
“The incident happened due to the driver’s reckless speeding,” said one anonymous witness. “Efforts were made to rescue her, but it was too late.”

Mr. D. Clement, the younger brother of the deceased, also called on the relevant authorities to expedite actions and ensure the driver is held accountable for the tragic consequences of their reckless actions.
