In a somber announcement, the House of Representatives has lost one of its esteemed members, Hon. Isa Dongoyaro, who represented the Babura/Garki Federal Constituency of Jigawa State in the 10th Assembly.
The news of Dongoyaro’s passing was conveyed in a statement signed by the House Spokesperson and Chairman of the House Committee on Media and Public Affairs, Rep Akin Rotimi, Jr.
According to the statement, Dongoyaro, who was elected on the platform of the All Progressives Congress, succumbed to a brief illness. He was described as a dedicated and passionate legislator who served his constituents and the nation with unwavering commitment.
“Hon. Isa Dongoyaro was a pillar in the House, contributing significantly to the development of legislation, particularly in the area of HIV/AIDS, Tuberculosis, and Malaria Control, where he served as the Deputy Chairman of the House Committee,” the statement read.
Colleagues and fellow Honourable Members praised Dongoyaro’s integrity, diligence, and commitment to the welfare of the Nigerian people. He was remembered as a detribalised patriot who built strong bonds of friendship with members from all parts of the country.
