The Edo State Police Command has successfully apprehended a man who brutally murdered his wife under unknown circumstances, which were revealed only through his confession. The man was publicly displayed at the State Police headquarters, where he is currently undergoing interrogation by the police. Prior to his arrest, the residents of Fugar in Etsako Central Local Government Area of Edo State came out in large numbers, urging the State Police Command to uncover the truth behind the death of their beloved daughter, Mrs. Semilat Uwaya.
The tragic death of the woman has deeply saddened numerous individuals, particularly her family members, and has sparked significant reactions across the media. The woman was discovered lifeless in her room early in the morning, with her nipples severed and her body parts missing. Her body was subsequently taken to the mortuary, where it was deposited for further investigation by the police.
After conducting a series of investigations, the police successfully apprehended the woman’s husband, who emerged as the primary suspect in her murder. According to reports, the couple had gotten married on March 17th of this year, and the crime took place in April of the same year.
During police interrogations, the husband confessed to and accepted responsibility for the crime. He revealed to the police how he had been enticed by his friends to kill his wife and mutilate her by cutting off her nipples and breasts for the purpose of money rituals. He expressed remorse for his actions after carrying out the heinous act.
