Popular Nigerian singer David Adeleke, also known as David, has spoken out about the people he has lost in his life.

In an interview with Beat FM, Davido explained that he dedicated the songs on his new album Timeless to those he lost, including his son Ifeanyi Adeleke.  

The singer of the Timeless album, released March 31st, described what he lost as a legend. Naija News recalls Ifeanyi died on october 31, 2022 après his best friend David lost his guard.

Discussing the loss he has endured, the Afrobeat star said that “Legends Can Never Die” had their spirits around him even though they were no longer physically with him. It was written as a result of acknowledging that I still feel the presence of He said : “Like the passage of time”.

Everyone knows that I lost my mother when I was ten. In a year or two I lost my best friend and my bodyguard, then my child and all that. lost together.

 “I don’t think this song is really sad”. I lost them all and I don’t want to feel like they left me mentally. I still have them around me. They were all legends. That’s why I say legends never die”, Davido said.
