Oyo State Police Command has confirmed deployment of their tactical teams to the scene of the explosion that happened around Bodija Axis of Ibadan.
A signed statement by the state Police Public Relations Officer, SP Adewale Osifeso stated that explosion around Dejo Oyelese Street Bodija Ibadan around 7:44pm today Tuesday 16/01/2024.
A copy of the statement made available to journalists in early hours of Wednesday stated that “the cause of the explosion is unknown.”
“Number of Dead and Injured could not be immediately ascertained from the scene as at the time the Police and other security services visited last night. Intensive search continues this morning.”
“The Oyo State Police Command has ample deployment to forestall any breakdown of law and order.”
