In a disturbing case of child abuse, a father in Ibadan, Oyo State, has been accused of sexually assaulting his daughter since she was eight year old and impregnated her. The now 16-year-old victim recounted the horrific ordeal, stating that her father had been repeatedly raping her since she was 8 years old.
The girl revealed that her mother had brought her to live with her father, only for him to begin sexually abusing her. “He started sleeping with me and even impregnated me,” the victim said. “He also aborted the 4-month pregnancy and continued to sexually abuse me until recently.”
The father, whose name has been withheld, admitted to the allegations during a radio interview on Agidigbo FM. He pleaded for leniency, claiming that the devil was responsible for his actions.
