The identity of the young woman whose lifeless body was discovered in a gutter on Thursday morning in Uyo has been confirmed as Goodness Israel, a single mother of two.
The tragic discovery, which occurred in the early hours of June 26, 2025, has caused speculations across social media. Through the circulation of her photos and appeals from concerned citizens, Goodness was eventually identified by people familiar with her.
Goodness Israel hailed from Mbiabong Itam in Itu Local Government Area of Akwa Ibom State. According to sources close to the family, she had been missing before her body was found.
