An alleged audio conversation between Mohbad, the late young musician, and his wife, Omowunmi, during a heated fight has resurfaced. Following the unfortunate death of the talented artist, several theories about the circumstances surrounding his death have emerged. Many have accused his former label head, Naira Marley, of being involved in the singer’s demise.

As many people investigate the cause of his death, a video of Mohbad and his wife, with whom he had been in a relationship for over a decade, has emerged on the internet. In the audio clip, Mohbad accused his wife of plotting to hurt him and warned her that she would be held accountable if anything happened to him. He chastised her for pretending to be sick to obtain information from his WhatsApp device, which he assumed she intended to exploit after his death.

The former Marlian artist described an instance in which he did not want to wear a specific piece of clothing, but his wife insisted on him wearing it, which he interpreted as an attempt on his life. He promised that his family would take action against her, emphasizing that she had not treated him with respect and had resorted to using insulting language towards him.

In his words:

“If I die today, you killed me.
My life is fucked up.
I’m saying this in advance.
My life is fucked up.
Ever since the NDLEA situation,
my health has been bad,
my tummy is folded up,
I complain all the time.
I will tell the whole world.
You should leave me alone when you stopped feeling me.
Why did you betray me?
Now you’re pretending.
You will pay for this,
only if there’s no God.
You put me to shame.
You’re acting smart! You said you never loved me,
but why did you stay in my life for 8 years?
Don’t worry. Don’t reply to me 000…”
The leaked audio continues with Omowunmi, Mohbad’s wife, vehemently denying all the accusations leveled against her. She pleads with her husband to believe her, explaining that she has never had any ill intentions towards him. Amidst sobs, she expresses her love for him and insists that she has always been loyal and supportive throughout their relationship.

In a desperate attempt to salvage their failing marriage, Omowunmi recalls the countless sacrifices she made for Mohbad’s career and the times she stood by him through thick and thin. She reminds him of the dreams they once shared and how they promised to conquer the world together.

Amid the sound of tears and anguish, Mohbad’s tone changes, and he begins to sound remorseful. He confesses that emotions got the better of him and that he should never have accused her without concrete evidence. He starts to question whether his suspicions were merely a byproduct of his own insecurities.

As the conversation continues, the intensity slowly diminishes, replaced by a mixture of sadness and nostalgia. Both parties begin to recollect old memories and acknowledge the love they once had for each other. They talk about their hopes and dreams, expressing regret for the mistakes they made and the hurtful words exchanged.

The audio ends with Mohbad apologizing profusely to his wife, promising to work on their relationship and seek professional help if needed. Omowunmi, still sobbing, forgives him, understanding that their relationship had been strained and that they both needed time to heal. They agree to take a break, reconnecting with themselves before deciding what the future holds for their marriage.

The leaked audio not only showcases the vulnerabilities of the late musician but also emphasizes the complexities of human relationships. It serves as a powerful reminder of the importance of effective communication and the need for empathy and understanding in difficult times. As the public grapples with the revelations from the audio, they are reminded of the fragility of life and the value of treasuring the ones we love before it’s too late.
