Oyo State Governor, Engr. Seyi Makinde, recently shared his experience of breaking Ramadan fasting with former Deputy Governor, Alhaji Hazeem Gbolarumi.
In a video recorded at Gbolarumi’s Bodija residence, Makinde expressed his gratitude for the warm reception and stressed the importance of handling political disputes with modesty. He also urged political followers to refrain from getting involved in their bosses’ disagreements.
During the gathering, Makinde humorously remarked, “When two bosses are fighting, those that are followers should not meddle, allow them to resolve the dispute. Many governors have governed this state since 1978. Everyone will spend their time and leave. As his excellency (Gbolarumi) said, it’s not easy to be a Governor. But those that can pose a security threat are the people we are sitting together with (laughter). And if there are no security threats, we will be able to focus on governance.”
