A Nigerian lady is trending after she first called her father to seek his permission when her boyfriend knelt down to propose to her.
The lady who is said to be from Ekiti State in the video’s caption placed a call to her father and told him her boyfriend had proposed, asking if she should say ‘yes’.
The Yoruba dialect spoken in the video sounded like Ijesa, though, and it appeared the lady was just doing that for fun.
Some Nigerians are taking it serious and are wondering if such a marriage would last, while others said the lady did the right thing in an age where young ones no longer reckon with their parents.
