The General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Pastor Enoch Adeboye comes under attacks over his prayer to Israel in its ongoing war with Palestine, Gistreel reports.
It is worth noting that Israel declared war on the Gaza Strip after an unprecedented attack by the armed Palestinian group Hamas on Saturday.
The Israeli-Palestinian conflict has since claimed thousands of lives and displaced many since it started five days ago.
Amidst the conflict, Pastor Adeboye took to the micro-blogging platform, X, to extend his prayer to the Jewish-dominated country in their trying times.
“It is my prayer for all our brethren in Israel that the Almighty will grant you absolute peace from now on in Jesus name. #Israel #peace,” he wrote.
However, the clergyman’s support for the Jews struck many Nigerians who condemned Pastor Adeboye for not gesturing the same when conflicts happen in Nigeria.
