A female journalist has expressed grievance after her petrol she kept with a security woman manning gate of University of Ibadan disappeared. According to the disgruntled journalist, she asked the security woman at the second gate of the university if she could leave her petrol at the gate to avoid fire incidents, and the security woman gave permission.
However, when she returned to where she left the fuel, it had disappeared. While reacting, she said the security woman suggested it may have been stolen, but refused to provide contact information of the cleaners who suspected to have stolen it or show footage from the CCTV cameras.
The journalist became angry and recorded the conversation, mentioning they are a journalist. Another security woman offered to contribute money to compensate for the lost fuel, but the journalist pointed out that theives also took the keg. The journalist attempted to report the incident to an engineer, but the first security woman called and persuaded her not to go, eventually she was given an empty keg and she left without her petrol with suspected foul play.

Today (Thursday) at the 2nd gate university of Ibadan.
Me: pls ma, I have petrol here and I want to get to PG school. Can I drop this here to avoid unforseen explosion?
Security woman ( beautiful): you can drop it there. (She pointed) I had reservations but I was like there’s cctv at the entrance now.
I came back to where I put the fuel lo and behold it has disappeared. I went to her and she said I should search very well.
I told her it has been stolen and she wondered who could have done that and she brought different ideas that it could be the cleaners who picks bottles on the floor and I asked for their numbers she declined. I said but the CCTV is working she said it has fault. That was when I sensed a foul play. I took my phone to record and the next she said maybe am the one who sent someone to come and steal it.
I was furious within n I let her know am a journalist and won’t take this lightly. The other security woman said they should contribute for me and she was offering a thousand naira that I should come next week when their salary is paid and I replied if am to put the fuel on my hand what of the keg that was taken? I turned to meet the Engineer I visited to report and probably get a keg from him and the first security woman called and persuaded me not to go that I should come to look keg behind the security post. She later entered the post and gave me an empty keg. That was how I left without my petrol o!
But I sensed something was fishy sha!
This is the video I was able to take.
