Funeral plans for King Charles III have been revealed as the monarch reportedly faces a terminal battle with pancreatic cancer.
Despite only being on the throne for 18 months, preparations are underway for the eventual death of King Charles, with plans named “Operation Menai Bridge” after the iconic suspension bridge in Wales.
An anonymous source within the royal circle has claimed that some courtiers believe Charles’ cancer is worse than officially reported.
The plans for his funeral include lying in state at Westminster Hall and burial in the royal vault at Windsor Castle.
The revelation about Charles’ diagnosis comes after a separate source stated that he has been given a mere two years to live and is struggling to fulfill his duties as monarch.
Buckingham Palace previously announced in February that Charles had been diagnosed with cancer, but the specific type was not disclosed until now, with sources suggesting it is pancreatic cancer.
