The last moment of Nigerian singer, Onyeka Onwenu Before she passed away has emerged.
According to eyewitness accounts, the veteran artist collapsed suddenly during the birthday party of Mrs. Stella Okoli on Tuesday evening, July 30, 2024. Onwenu had just finished performing at the event when she reportedly slumped to the ground.
“It is very sad. Onyeka Onwenu just performed at the birthday of Mrs. Stella Okoli today (Tuesday, July 30, 2024), and after performing, she slumped,” an eyewitness at the event confirmed. “She was taken to Reddington Hospital and she couldn’t make it.”
Onwenu was rushed to Reddington Hospital in Lagos, but unfortunately, she could not be revived and was pronounced dead at the hospital.
Onwenu was widely beloved for her soulful voice and her contributions to the country’s cultural landscape.
