LASU bursar slumps, died while on bank queue to collect N5000

A Deputy Bursar Mr Johnson Adesola Ademola AKA Prof of Lagos State University LASU slumped and died at noon on Monday  20 February 2023 at LASU Wema Bank .

Eyewitness account told newspot that Mr Ademola died while on a queue to collect  N 5000 of new naira notes.

He was said to have been on the queue as early as 6 am. without taking his breakfast. ” We did not notice him complaining but we saw was him going down.  Sympathizers rushed to  apply first aid treatment but gave up the ghost. What an irony of fate for a bursar dying while waiting for N5000″
His body has been moved to the mortuary for autopsy.

The EXCO regrets to announce the sudden demise of Mr Adesola Johnson ( fondly called Prof ) this afternoon at the University Health Centre. His body has been deposited in a morgue pending information on funeral rites and interment.

In line with our tradition, services at the Club will be shut down tomorrow in honour of the late committed member of our dear Club

We pray that God will receive his soul and grant him a place in paradise.
While we must try to comfort ourselves and request God to grant his family the fortitude to bear this irreparable loss, please, bear with us for any inconvenience that this may cause .
