A 23-year-old man, Fabiyi Solomon, from Ayedun in Oke Ero Local Government Area of Kwara State, has been apprehended after attempting to use his 6-year-old nephew for a money ritual in Ekiti State.

The plan was foiled by a local herbalist (babalawo), who refused to carry out the ritual and instead reported Solomon to the authorities.

A video shared on Facebook by Adeniran Samuel shows Solomon pleading for forgiveness. In the footage, he claims the herbalist assured him he wouldn’t die but would only fall sick. Solomon also stated that he intended to use the wealth from the ritual to take care of his nephew.
