Olasunkanmi Filani, the elder brother of popular Nollywood actress Mosunmola Filani, has recently released an Extended Play (EP) to showcase his musical talents. Known professionally as Mr. Castro – lyrical Egbeji, he is a songwriter, producer, and prolific lyricist who has been in the industry since 2002, The Sun reports.
Throughout his career, Castro has collaborated with various artists, including Clench (mase binu simi) in 2007, A.D.10 of premium beat, a producer of Oluwe, Emeka Eric, who currently works at Mainland 98.3 FM, and Wale Waves. His musical prowess has also extended to movie soundtracks. He created the soundtracks for Muyiwa Ademola’s movie “Owo Okuta” in 2008, which featured his sister Mosunmola Filani, as well as the soundtrack for the movie “Oko Obinrin” in 2011.
