National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC) has uncovered fake wine factories at the Eziukwu Cemetery Market in Aba, Abia State.
This was after the authorities had received multiple reports of the production and distribution of counterfeit wines within the market’s vicinity, prompting them to take swift action.
The officials meticulously searched the busy market stalls, targeting specific warehouses suspected of hosting the clandestine fake wine factories. The horrendous reality hit the team as they discovered row upon row of makeshift production units, each churning out substandard and dangerous wine concoctions.
