Al-Matin Entertainment is set to release a star-studded Yoruba movie titled 60:40 on December 7, 2024. The highly anticipated film will premiere on YouTube via Yorubahood, just in time to add excitement to the upcoming Yuletide celebrations.

Written and directed by BabajeVision, 60:40 boasts an impressive cast of prominent Yoruba actors and actresses, including Olakekan Oseni, Anta Laniyan, Bimbo Oshin, Kelvin Ikeduba, Amuda Eko, Peters Ijagbemi, and many more.

In a statement from Al-Matin Entertainment’s media consultant, Mr. Adebayo Abegunrin, the movie was described as a gripping tale of broken trust filled with action and suspense. He noted that the production aims to make the holiday season more enjoyable for fans of Yoruba cinema.

Speaking about the project, Al-Matin Company Limited’s Executive Director and lead actor, Olakekan Oseni, shared his journey into movie production and acting. The Olabisi Onabanjo University graduate of Accountancy revealed that his passion for entertainment began in his hometown of Apata, Ibadan, where he organized community street carnivals.

“My passion for entertainment started during my early days in Ibadan. I officially entered the film industry in 2017 with my debut movie, Bosun Balogun. Since then, I’ve produced Mokan Mokan (2019), Prospect: The Movie (2023), and Roscow Cairo (2024). Now, we’re thrilled to present 60:40, a must-watch for Yoruba movie lovers worldwide,” he said.

Oseni also credited his aunt, Chief Dr. Mrs. Joke Muyiwa, for encouraging him to step into the limelight as both a producer and an actor.

In addition to his success in the film industry, Oseni has hosted events featuring notable artists like Qdot, Seyi Vibez, and Remi Aluko, both locally and internationally.

60:40 promises to be an unforgettable addition to the festive season, catering to audiences in Nigeria and beyond.
