Panic ensued in the Olodo Bank area of Egbeda Local Government, Oyo State, on Monday evening as a newly constructed BOVAS filling station was engulfed in flames during the unloading of petrol from a tanker.

Residents in the vicinity were alarmed by the intense inferno, which quickly spread within the station. Firefighters from the Oyo State Fire Service were on the scene at the time of this report, working to contain the blaze.

Details regarding the cause of the fire and potential casualties remain unclear as of now.
