In a harrowing video, a Nigerian man can be seen crying out for help after the boat carrying him and other African migrants capsized in the Mediterranean Sea.

The man, who appears visibly shaken and distressed, can be heard saying, “Hey, I am dead. Look at everybody in the water.”

The incident occurred as the group was attempting to reach Europe through illegal maritime routes, a dangerous journey that has claimed countless lives over the years.

Tragically, the boat, which the migrants had believed would safely transport them to their destination, succumbed to the treacherous waters, leaving them stranded and struggling to survive.

The video, which has been widely shared on social media, showed the man desperately seeking a better life in Europe and the immense risks they face in the process.

Illegal migration through the Mediterranean has long been a pressing issue, with thousands of people losing their lives in the attempt.
