President Bola Tinubu has expressed his commitment to improving Nigeria, describing his fellow countrymen as hardworking individuals. However, he believes that the nation should not be impoverished. Tinubu made these remarks during a meeting with a high-profile delegation consisting of leaders from both the governing All Progressives Congress (APC) and the opposition People’s Democratic Party (PDP) at the State House in Abuja on Thursday.

The delegation thanked Tinubu for appointing Wike and other indigenes from the oil-rich state of Rivers. According to presidential spokesman Ajuri Ngelale, Tinubu stated, “We are not lazy people. We are blessed with abundant resources. We simply need to support one another and be good neighbors. I am not a President who will make excuses.”

“I will work diligently for our nation with determination, purpose, and dedication to create wealth for all Nigerians. We have no reason to live in poverty! We will not dwell on the past; instead, we will forge ahead with great vigor,” Tinubu added.

“Though we may currently be facing challenges, the tide will soon propel us forward. We will achieve the goals and dreams of our forefathers. I am inspired by the people I now lead,” said the former Lagos State governor. Tinubu, who is trusted by the people to bring about change, assured the nation that his government is committed to fulfilling its promises.

“I am the leader and primary advocate for the country. We must reverse the current situation and achieve greatness within a short timeframe,” President Tinubu emphasized. “Our people have high expectations, and I pledge to work tirelessly. I pray to God to guide me on the right path so as not to disappoint Nigerians.”

Tinubu also mentioned his government’s intention to prioritize the development of the Eleme Junction-Onne section of the East-West Road, which is crucial for linking the Port Harcourt Refinery. He expressed confidence in the ability of FCT Minister Nyesom Wike, who is also his advisor, to address the matter promptly.

“Wike, the honorable minister, is not only the Minister of FCT but also my advisor and a supporter of mine,” he added. “He has started his work diligently, and the state should encourage him.”

Tinubu’s words resonated with the entire delegation, as they all agreed that Nigerians have the potential and drive to succeed. The delegation praised Tinubu’s commitment to inclusivity by appointing leaders from various states and political parties, emphasizing the need for unity in order to achieve national development.

As the meeting progressed, Tinubu discussed his plans for economic growth and poverty eradication. He highlighted the importance of creating an enabling environment for businesses to thrive, attracting foreign investments, and providing access to quality education and healthcare for all Nigerians. Tinubu stressed the need to address the root causes of poverty, such as corruption and lack of infrastructure, in order to uplift the nation.

Furthermore, Tinubu expressed his desire to foster a sense of national pride and patriotism among Nigerians. He emphasized the need for every citizen to believe in the potential of their country, to take ownership of their roles in nation-building, and to pursue excellence in their respective fields. He announced his intentions to launch nationwide campaigns to inspire and motivate the youth, encouraging them to pursue their dreams and contribute to the development of Nigeria.

The delegation commended Tinubu’s strong leadership and vision for Nigeria. They agreed to work together across party lines, setting aside political differences in the interest of the nation. They pledged their support and commitment to implementing Tinubu’s agenda and policies, believing that with his guidance, Nigeria can overcome its challenges and achieve greatness.

As the meeting came to a close, Tinubu reminded everyone of the urgency of their tasks. He emphasized the need to act swiftly, without hesitation, in order to make a tangible impact on the lives of Nigerians. With their shared determination and dedication, the delegation left the meeting with renewed hope and confidence in the bright future that lies ahead for Nigeria.
