Nigerian crypto enthusiasts have been left frustrated and disappointed after being denied access to the TapSwap platform. The popular Telegram-based crypto mining game, which had gained significant traction in the country, has now implemented a new requirement that prevents Nigerians from connecting to the platform.

According to reports, TapSwap’s portal now demands that users verify they are human, effectively barring Nigerian participants from continuing their daily tapping and earning Tap tokens. This development has sparked an outpouring of lament and disbelief on social media, as Nigerians express their frustration over the sudden roadblock.

TapSwap, which utilizes the Solana blockchain, had become a popular avenue for Nigerians to engage in crypto mining through a user-friendly and gamified approach. Unlike traditional mining methods that require expensive hardware and technical expertise, TapSwap offered a simplified process where users could earn Tap tokens by simply tapping an icon within the Telegram bot interface.

The project’s accessibility and social features, which allowed players to compete against friends and share their scores, had contributed to its widespread popularity, particularly among Nigerians new to the cryptocurrency space.

However, concerns have been raised in the past about the app’s legitimacy, data collection practices, and operational transparency. The recent decision to block Nigerian users has now exacerbated these issues, leaving many Nigerians feeling betrayed and disappointed.

As the news spreads, Nigerian crypto enthusiasts have taken to social media platforms to voice their outrage and disappointment, sharing their experiences and expressing their frustration with the TapSwap team’s decision.
