With just days to the 8th Quadrennial Delegates Conference of the Nigeria Union of Local Government Employees (NULGE), Oyo State Chapter, the Authentic Integrity Group (AIG) Campaign Team has embarked on a comprehensive statewide “Thank You” tour to appreciate delegates and stakeholders for their support.
The campaign team, led by Comrade Ayobami Olusegun Adeogun, fcpa., the incumbent president of the union, visited the five geopolitical zones of the state Ibarapa, Oyo, Ogbomoso, Oke-Ogun, and Ibadan as well as key government institutions including the Oyo State Local Government Service Commission, Local Government Staff Pensions Board, and the Ministry of Local Government and Chieftaincy Matters.
During the visits, the AIG team expressed profound gratitude to local government executives, workers, the political class, and management across the state for the support given to the current State Administrative Council of NULGE since its inception in 2021. They acknowledged the solidarity shown towards their candidates ahead of the upcoming election scheduled to hold on Thursday, August 7, 2025, at the International Conference Centre, University of Ibadan.
Comrade Adeogun, in his address at each stop, noted the overwhelming and unprecedented backing the group received from delegates, particularly branch executives across the zones. He reiterated his commitment to not letting the workers down if re-elected for another term.
“My joy knows no bounds,” Adeogun said, “The support we have received has been overwhelming. If given the mandate again, we will redouble our efforts to ensure a more transformative and workforce-centered leadership.”
He also highlighted the achievements of his administration since 2021 and shared the team’s vision for the future, encapsulated in their document titled “Our Testimonies – Conceptual Framework for Second Term: Continuation of Our Team’s Transformative Leadership and Workforce-Centred Governance.”
Stakeholders across the zones, including Executive Chairmen, Heads of Local Government Administration, Acting Heads of LCDAs, and branch executives, took turns to commend the Adeogun-led NULGE leadership. They praised the strides made over the past four years and pledged unwavering support for the AIG candidates at the conference.
The Director-General of the AIG Campaign Team, Comrade (Prince) Segun Adeyemo, who e-signed the statement on behalf of the campaign, emphasized that the tour was not just an expression of gratitude but a reaffirmation of their readiness to build on the successes already achieved.
