Oba Rashidi Adewolu Ladoja, the Otun Olubadan of Ibadanland, has extended his heartfelt felicitations to Muslim faithful in Ibadanland, Oyo State, and across Nigeria as they celebrate the holy festival of Eid-El-Kabir.
In his goodwill message, Oba Ladoja acknowledged the mercy and grace of Almighty Allah for preserving lives through the country’s challenging times. He urged Muslims to mark the occasion with gratitude, humility, and a deepened sense of faith, emphasizing that Eid-El-Kabir is not only a time of joy but also a moment of reflection on the enduring lessons of sacrifice, obedience, and devotion as exemplified by Prophet Ibrahim (AS).
The Otun Olubadan called on Nigerians—particularly the people of Ibadanland—to embrace the essence of Eid by practicing love, generosity, and compassion, especially toward the less privileged. He encouraged citizens to take the opportunity to uplift their communities, extend kindness to the needy, and foster unity beyond religious or ethnic divides.
“Every great nation endures trials,” he said, “but through unity, compassion, and unwavering faith, we grow stronger.”
Oba Ladoja also reminded all that Nigeria remains our collective home, and its future depends on a shared commitment to respect, tolerance, and patriotism. He urged leaders across all levels of government to make the welfare of the people a top priority.
Offering prayers for a peaceful and meaningful celebration, he asked Almighty Allah (SWT) to accept the worship and sacrifices of all Muslims during this sacred period. He expressed hope that the spirit of Eid-El-Kabir would renew the nation’s dedication to peace, unity, and shared progress.
“May this festive season bring healing to our land, strength to our people, and abundant blessings to our nation,” he concluded.
