The highly anticipated inaugural edition of the Ogbomoso Cradles Carnival kicks off tomorrow, December 19, 2024, with a series of events celebrating the rich cultural heritage of Ogbomosoland. The five-day extravaganza will run until December 23, aiming to promote unity, cultural pride, and economic development in the region.

Prince Williams Adeleye, chairman of the organizing committee, announced that the event will feature prominent guests, including the Executive Governor of Oyo State, Engineer Oluseyi Makinde; the Minister of Arts, Culture, Tourism, and Creative Economy, Barrister Hannatu Musawa; top government officials; tourism enthusiasts; and various indigenous clubs and associations.

The carnival is a key element of Oba Ghandi Afolabi Olaoye, Orumogege III, Soun of Ogbomosoland’s 25-year development agenda. It promises to offer vibrant displays of local cuisine, traditional dances, and Ogbomoso’s famed masquerades.
