Professor Adeniyi Olowofela, the Federal Character Commissioner and former Commissioner for Education in Oyo State, has expressed his admiration for Mrs. Florence Ajimobi, the immediate past First Lady of the state, on her birthday.
In a heartfelt message, Olowofela described Mrs. Ajimobi as a “Masterpiece of Nature,” a title given to her by her late husband, Senator Abiola Ajimobi, who was also Olowofela’s political leader and benefactor. He further praised her beauty, both inside and out, as well as her strength, compassion, and faith.
Olowofela highlighted Mrs. Ajimobi’s contributions to society, particularly through her NGO, Educate a Rural Child. Under her leadership, the organization provided six blocks of classrooms and educational materials to the Oloruntedo Village primary school in Ido Local Government. He also mentioned her establishment of the A.B.C – Access to Basic Health initiative, which offered free medical services to various local governments in the state and has since been relocated to Adeoyo Area of Ibadan.
Furthermore, Olowofela acknowledged Mrs. Ajimobi’s role in coordinating the Tinubu/Shetima project in Oyo State, which was instrumental in the emergence of Asiwaju Tinubu in the 2023 Presidential election. He also touched upon her commitment to family, noting that all her sons-in-law and daughter-in-law automatically became her own children.
Religiously, Olowofela explained that Mrs. Ajimobi was raised as a Catholic but chose to embrace Pentecostalism and later became a Muslim through marriage.
On her special day, April 5th, Olowofela and others celebrated Mrs. Ajimobi and wished her continued joy, peace, good health, and abundance in the years to come.
