Federal Character Commissioner representing Oyo State and former Oyo State Commissioner for Education, Professor Adeniyi Olowofela, has issued a public disclaimer alerting Nigerians to the activities of an alleged impostor using his name to perpetrate fraud.
In a post shared on his official Facebook page, Olowofela revealed that a man identified as Alhaji Tajudeen Azeez has been reported for swindling unsuspecting members of the public under the false claim of working for him.

“DISCLAIMER: The person whose photograph is shown herein has been reported to be swindling members of the public using my name. I don’t know him, neither did I send him on any fraudulent assignment,” Olowofela wrote.
According to him, the suspect has approached victims claiming to represent the commissioner, with one defrauded individual directly alerting him to the scam. The victim’s message read: “He called himself Alhaji Tajudeen Azeez. He is telling people that he is working for you. Please do something as quickly as possible. Thank you sir.”
The commissioner also published the suspect’s alleged phone number — 08027141431 — urging members of the public to exercise caution and report any attempted fraud to the authorities.
“If he attempts to defraud you, kindly hand him over to Law Enforcement Agents,” Olowofela added.
