Enugu, Nigeria – A d¡sturbing video has sparked widespread outrage among Nigerians, showing a group of masquerades mercilessly fl0gging a female nurse until she fell into a gutter.
The incident occurred on Sunday, April 28, as the victim, identified as Blessing Ogbonna, was on her way to work at a private hospital in Nsukka. Dressed in her nursing uniform and riding a motorcycle, Ogbonna was suddenly attacked by the masquerades, who began whipping her relentlessly.
The video footage shows the helpless nurse being knocked off her bike and landing on the ground, but the brutal flogging continued even as she tried to escape. Undeterred, the masquerades pursued her and continued the assault until Ogbonna tumbled into a nearby gutter.
Bystanders who had initially tried to intervene eventually stepped in and pulled the nurse out of the drainage after the relentless beating.
