The Oyo State College of Nursing and Midwifery has announced an extension of the sale of Basic Midwifery Forms for an additional four weeks. The initial deadline of March 20, 2024, has now been extended to accommodate prospective students who are still interested in obtaining the form. This decision was made to give more time to those who may have missed the deadline.

Dr. Gbonjubola Owolabi, the Provost of the College, highlighted that the Computer Based Test (CBT) will now take place from April 22 to 24. The interview dates have been scheduled for May 2 and 3, 2024. The College warns the public not to provide personal or financial information to any unofficial source claiming to be associated with the College, as the Provost emphasized that sensitive information would never be requested through unofficial channels.

Dr. Owolabi urged interested candidates to seize this extended period and visit the Registrar’s office or the ICT center of the College for further inquiries. She also announced that admission into Basic Nursing is now through the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB), emphasizing that the College will strictly adhere to merit-based admission and will not compromise its standards. For those who attained a score of 200 and above in their exam, the College will release a Post UTME form after the examination results are published.

Candidates for these programs will be selected from their respective Local Government Areas. The Provost expressed gratitude to Engr. Seyi Makinde, the Governor of Oyo State, for his support in covering the full fees of all recommended candidates from the thirty-three (33) Local Government Areas and LCDAs.
