The Commissioner of Police in Oyo State, Ayodele Sonubi, has consoled the Chairman of Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Oyo State Council, Alhaji Ademola Babalola, over his mother’s death.
This was contained in a statement issued by the Police Public Relations Officers (PPRO) for the state, Adewale Osifeso, on behalf of the police boss in the state.
The matriarch of the Muraina Oladiti Babalola’s Family, Mama Wulemot Aweni Babalola, breathed her last on Saturday November 2, 2024 at at the age of 76 years, and was buried on Sunday November 3, 2024, according to Islamic rites.
The statement read in part: “Dear Alhaji Ademola Babalola, NUJ Chairman,
Oyo State Council, the Commissioner of Police, Oyo State Police Command, CP Sonubi Oluyemi Ayodele, psc on behalf of Officers and Men of Oyo State Police Command do extend heartfelt condolences to you on the passing of your mother, Mrs Wulemotu Aweni Babalola.
“It is the Command’s prayer that the Almighty strengthens you at times like this to carry the burden of this painful loss.”
The deceased is survived by the children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
According to the Chairman of NUJ, Oyo State, Ademola Babalola, “Mama was a devout Muslim and respected Otun Iya Adeen of Palupo Muslim Community, Ona Ara Local Government Area of Oyo State
