The National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW) Oyo State Council is thrilled to announce the confirmation of Alhaji Tajudeen Ibikunle Baruwa as the President of NURTW Nigeria for a second term by the National Industrial Court in suit No. NICN/ABJ/263/2023.

The court ruling, delivered by Hon. Justice O.O. Oyewumi, solidifies Alhaji Tajudeen Ibikunle Baruwa’s position as the duly elected President of the union nationwide. In a joint press release by Chairman Alhaji Abideen Olajide (Ejiogbe) and Secretary Comrade (Otunba) Lekan Aleshinloye, this legal victory is hailed as a significant win for the rule of law and a testament to the Union’s confidence in the Nigerian Judiciary system.

The Oyo State Council expresses full support for Alhaji Tajudeen Ibikunle Baruwa and calls on all NURTW members in Oyo State and beyond to rally behind his leadership. The Council emphasizes the need for unity, cooperation, and adherence to the court ruling to ensure the progress and success of NURTW nationwide.

“With the litigation concluded and the court decision favoring Alhaji Baruwa, the focus is now on moving forward together for the betterment of NURTW as a whole”, the statement reads.
