In preparation for the upcoming Easter celebration, the Oyo State Police Command, led by CP Adebola A. Hamzat, has implemented stringent security measures across the state to maintain peace and tranquility during the festivities.

The police command will deploy operational, intelligence, and tactical resources, focusing on visibility policing, effective surveillance, confidence-building patrols, and intelligence-led stop and search activities. These proactive measures aim to prevent any potential incidents during the holidays and beyond.

To ensure the success of these security measures, the CP has personally instructed Area Commanders, Divisional Police Officers, and tactical commanders to lead patrols throughout critical government infrastructure, media houses, correctional facilities, banks, places of worship, recreational centers, public spaces, as well as all entry and exit points within and outside of the state.

While extending Easter greetings to Christians and all residents of Oyo State, the Commissioner of Police reaffirms the command’s dedication to safeguarding lives and property. Furthermore, the CP encourages individuals, particularly Christians, to reflect on values such as forgiveness, peace, tolerance, selflessness, and love.

The Oyo State Police Command reminds the public that if they witness anything suspicious, they should immediately report it to the police. In case of emergencies, the command can be reached through the toll-free Oyo State Security Response Center at 615 or the Oyo State Police Command emergency line at 08081768614.

Signed,
SP OSIFESO ADEWALE mnipr
Police Public Relations Officer,
On behalf of Commissioner of Police,
Oyo State Command.
