The Oyo State Government has launched an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the death of a patient at a prominent private hospital in Ibadan, the state capital.

This follows the circulation of a video showing allegations of the Molly Hospital in Ibadan administering expired drugs and injections to a patient, which led to the death of a 59-year-old woman, Funmilayo Popoola.

The state’s Commissioner for Health, Dr. Oluwaserimi Ajetunmobi, stated on Thursday that the ministry has been made aware of the “unfortunate incident” and extends its condolences to the family of the deceased.
