●As OYSCATECH Rector Felicitates Him over Appointment
The Rector, Oyo State College of Agriculture and Technology (OYSCATECH), Igboora, Prof. Akinola Akinlabi on behalf of Management, Staff and Students has congratulated the newly appointed pioneer Bursar for the Emmanuel Alayande University of Education, Oyo, Mr. Olawole Ojetola.
The Rector who expressed gladness over the appointment of Mr. Ojetola noted that the new Bursar will bring his experience to bear in the discharge of his responsibilities at the Emmanuel Alayande University of Education, Oyo.
Prof. Akinola posited that Oyo State College of Agriculture and Technology, Igboora as a training ground for Staff and Students is endowed with qualified human capital resources that are doing the institution proud in their various fields of human endeavour of which Mr. Ojetola is one.
He described Mr. Ojetola being an alumnus of the prestigious premier University of Ibadan and great Ife as an asset which towers high and will bring different initiatives to the table for the positioning of Emmanuel Alayande University of Education as first among the comity of Tertiary Institution in the pace setting State and beyond.
According to a release signed by the Public Relations Officer of OYSCATECH, Mrs. Opeyemi Olawore, the rector expressed optimism that Mr. Ojetola having served as the acting Bursar and Director of Audit at the Oyo State College of Agriculture and Technology, Igboora, as well as the immediate past Bursar for the Polytechnic, Ibadan coupled with his experience at the Oyo State Primary Education Board, will work with other team players to move the Emmanuel Alayande University of Education forward.
Mr. Olawole Ojetola was born in Ibadan on 20th June, 1967.
He had his primary education at St. Paul Primary School Yemetu, Ibadan between 1972 and 1978. His secondary education took place at Lagelu Grammar School and Government College Ibadan, respectively.
In his quest for educational attainment, Mr. Olawole Ojetola proceeded to the Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile – Ife between 1987 and 1991 where he obtained Bachelor of Science in Accounting.
In 2001, Mr. Ojetola enrolled at the University of Ibadan where he obtained Master in Business Administration.
Mr. Olawole Ojetola started his career as an accountant at Katsina Steel Rolling Company Limited while observing the mandatory National Youth Service Corps programme between 1992 and 1993.
In 1993, he served as Assistant Accountant at Adegoke Motors Limited before taking appointment at Eleyele Jericho Idi-Ishin Community Bank Limited between 1993 and 1996.
Mr. Ojetola joined the services of Oyo State Primary Education Board in February 1996 where he rose to become head of Audit, Principal Accountant and Deputy Director, Inspectorate.
As a Deputy Director, Mr. Olawole Ojetola was privileged to work at the office of the Accountant General, Inspectorate and Monitoring services.
Also, as an astute accountant, Mr Ojetola joined the services of Oyo State College of Agriculture and Technology, Igboora on secondment from the Oyo State Civil Service, where he served as an Acting Bursar between December 2006-April, 2007.
While discharging his duties at Oyo State College of Agriculture and Technology, Igboora, Mr. Ojetola rose from the post of Principal Accountant to head of Audit, Deputy Director of Audit and Acting Director of Audit. Until his appointment, Mr Olawole Ojetola was the Director of Audit wherein he undertook several assignments and served in various committees in OYSCATECH towards the advancement of the institution.
At the Polytechnic, Ibadan, record has it that Mr. Olawole Ojetola joined other team members to improve and increase sources of internally generated revenue, decentralized the bursary department, established Procurement unit, implemented the procurement acts and Payment portal redesigning.
Mr Ojetola is a fellow, chattered Institute of Accountants (ICAN), chapter president, Certified Information System Auditor (CISA).
He is also a field representative and Life Member Full Gospel Businessmen’s Fellowship.
The newly appointed Bursar had contributed to the progress of the society through his services to the following societies, Secretary, Academic and Curriculum, Director of Finance, HEIRS Club and the financial secretary of Oluyole Social Elite club.
Mr Ojetola is a married man and the marriage is blessed with five wonderful children.
