On March 22, the Oyo State College of Agriculture and Technology (OYSCATECH) in Igboora will hold its 2nd Combined Convocation and 17th Founder’s Day Ceremonies. The event will be marked by the awarding of National Diplomas and Higher National Diplomas, as well as the presentation of prizes to students. Notable Nigerians who have made significant contributions to the nation will also receive Fellowship Awards.
The convocation will take place at the institution’s 800 Seater Hall, and the general public is invited to attend. Graduands from the years 2016/2017, 2017/2018, 2018/2019, 2019/2020, 2020/2021, 2021/2022, and 2022/2023 are particularly encouraged to be present.
Special guests of honor for the ceremony will include Engr. Seyi Makinde, the Executive Governor of Oyo State, who serves as the Visitor of the institution. Prof. Saliu Abdulwaheed Adelabu, the Honourable Commissioner for Education, Science and Technology, and Prof. Lateef Sanni, Chairman of the Governing Council, will also grace the occasion.
The Registrar of the institution, Mr. R. F. A. Adeniji, announced that distinguished individuals who have excelled in their respective fields and have significantly contributed to nation-building will be honored with Fellowship Awards from OYSCATECH.
Moreover, a Convocation Lecture on the topic “Agriculture and Economic Diversification: The Role of Tertiary Institutions” will be delivered by Prof. Abiodun Musa Aibinu, the Vice Chancellor of Summit University in Offa, Kwara State.
Graduands are required to be seated by 8:30 am to start the academic procession promptly at 8:45 am. Furthermore, payment for the convocation ceremony and certificates can be made by accessing the college portal at graduations.oyscatech.edu.ng.
