I was appointed by President Muhammad Buhari after the nomination by Senator Abiola Ajimobi may his soul rest in peace into Federal Character Commission, Abuja. After going through the rigours of clearance from Senate, we were sworn in by the President on July 2, 2020 during the ravaging period of COVID. The tenure ends July 1, 2025. There is opportunity of renewal but not automatic.
Although I was not return but my successor Prince Abass Alesinloye is a worthy successor. I have known Alesh, since our days at the Local Government Administration Era since 2011. Without any equivocation or any doubt in my mind.
Abass Alesinloye is a seasoned and sound Administrator. Naturally I had hoped that I may return for the second tenure. However been succeeded by Abass Alesinloye is comforting.
