General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pastor Enoch Adejare Adeboye, has raised an alarm over AI-generated videos falsely using his image and name to promote fraudulent schemes.
In a statement released through his official channels, Pastor Adeboye condemned the circulation of these deceptive videos, which falsely advertise drugs and scholarships under his name. He categorically denied any involvement in such promotions and urged the public to remain vigilant against such scams.
“I have been made aware of disturbing AI-generated videos circulating online, falsely advertising certain drugs and scholarships that are intended to deceive and mislead people. These videos are NOT from me, and I want to make it clear that I have no involvement in such promotions,” the statement read.

The religious leader further warned his followers to be cautious and not to fall for these fraudulent schemes, emphasizing that they are designed to exploit people’s trust for selfish gain. He advised against sharing or engaging with such content and encouraged immediate reporting of these fake accounts and videos on all social media platforms.
“These malicious acts by ‘Africa Health Centre’ and ‘Church-Funded Scholarships’ are being dealt with already by the relevant authorities as we will not allow God’s name to be used in vain for such wickedness,” he added.
Pastor Adeboye’s call for vigilance comes at a time when deepfake technology and AI-generated misinformation are increasingly being used to deceive the public. Many notable figures have fallen victim to similar impersonation tactics, highlighting the urgent need for stronger regulations and public awareness regarding digital fraud.
As investigations into the matter continue, the pastor reaffirmed his commitment to truth and the genuine work of the Kingdom, urging his followers to stay focused on faith and integrity.
Authorities and social media platforms have been urged to take swift action against such fraudulent activities to prevent further exploitation of unsuspecting individuals. Links to some of the fraudulent pages have also been flagged for removal.
For those who come across these misleading materials, Pastor Adeboye encourages immediate reporting to prevent further spread and to protect others from falling victim to these scams.
