Barely 2-day to the Governorship and State House of Assembly Election, there is hulabaloo in Ibadan after a reported clash between members of People’s Democratic Party (PDP) and All Progressive Congress (APC) during PDP campaign train in Ibadan South East.

In this attack , a PDP serving councilor representing Ward 10, Ibadan South East Local Government Area of Oyo State and about three others have been confirmed dead.

According to reports, this heartbreaking incident happened on Thursday when the reelected House of Representatives member Hon. Abass Agboworin led Ibadan South East Local Government rally in preparation for March 18th Governorship and state house of assembly election.

Among the three killed is a ward 10 councilor, by name Sulaiman Ariyibi, in Ibadan South East local government of Oyo state who was shot dead during the gunshots melliu.

The PDP serving and re-elected lawmaker for Ibadan South East/North East Federal Constituency, Hon Abass Agboworin while speaking to journalists at the state Hospital, Adeoyo, where the bodies of the deceased were taken to expressed his displeasure on the tragic and shocking incident

The lawmaker also confirmed that he was the target of the assailants due to the inclusive election in his federal constituency,

He called on the police to carry out a thorough investigation in order to bring culprits to justice while alleging that Oyo state chapter of APC has taken the coming election as a do or die affairs.

Confirming the development, the Oyo state Police Public Relation Officer (PPRO), SP Adewale Osifeso that investigation has commenced immediately and further updates will be provided in due time.
