Popular Radio Presenter at Fresh FM, Passes Away

The Osun broadcasting community and beyond are in a state of mourning following the sudden demise of Taiwo Kekere Ekun, a beloved and renowned radio presenter in the state.

Kekere Ekun, as she was popularly known, was celebrated for her charismatic and eloquent delivery of newspaper reviews in the Yoruba language on Fresh FM 104.9 Osogbo, where she hosted the popular Sunday program “Kekere Akin.”

A graduate of Mass Communication from the Osun State Polytechnic, Iree, Kekere Ekun had carved a niche for herself as a talented and influential voice on the airwaves, earning recognition both within and outside Osun State for her exceptional broadcasting skills.

According to reports, the vibrant on-air personality passed away in the early hours of today after a prolonged battle with an undisclosed illness. Her untimely death has left a palpable void in the state’s media landscape, with the alumni of the Mass Communication department at Osun State Polytechnic, Iree, taking to various social media platforms to mourn her demise.

The loss of Kekere Ekun is a tragic one, as she was known for her unwavering commitment to her craft and her ability to captivate her audience with her engaging presentation style. Her passing is a significant blow to the Osun broadcasting community, and she will be deeply missed by her colleagues, listeners, and all those whose lives she touched through her work.
