In yet another controversial act, popular Nigerian singer Portable has criticized his wife Bewaji Ewatomi for not including him in her birthday message. This incident comes shortly after Portable publicly accused the late Alaafin’s wife of refusing to conceive his child.
On April 19th, 2024, Ewatomi Bewaji celebrates her birthday and took to her official Instagram page to share heartfelt words and stunning photos. However, Portable was not pleased with her posts and expressed his dissatisfaction.
In her birthday message, Ewatomi Bewaji wrote, “Happy birthday to me. Here’s to another year of growth, learning, and unforgettable moments. I wish myself a very happy birthday. May this birthday become one of the best birthdays of my life! Wishing myself a great birthday celebration filled with love, joy, and blessings. I feel privileged to be happy, healthy, and alive today.”
In another post, Ewatomi refers to herself as the “queen of herself” and expresses happiness for her journey in life. However, Portable didn’t take it well and lashed out at her on her special day.
Portable criticized his wife for labeling herself “queen of herself” instead of “Queen of Portable.” He questioned her choice of words and emphasized that he plays a significant role in shaping who she is today. He insisted that she should show him respect.
“Queen of yourself? Stay calm and don’t let them manipulate you. I don’t understand why you call yourself ‘queen of yourself.’ Try to appreciate those who appreciate you,” Portable expressed his discontent.
He continued, “In my family, we don’t tolerate disrespect. If people call you a strong woman, it’s because of me. Change your caption, or else you can leave our house. If I show you respect, then you should respect yourself.”
