Prof. Olowofela Congratulates New Alaafin of Oyo, Oba Akeem Abimbola Owoade

The Federal Character Commissioner representing Oyo State, Prof. Adeniyi Olowofela, has extended his congratulations to the newly appointed Alaafin of Oyo, Oba Akeem Abimbola Owoade.

In a statement personally signed by him, Olowofela, a former Commissioner for Education, described the appointment as a historic milestone for the people of Oyo State.

He wrote: “Congratulations to Prince Akeem Abimbola Owoade, Governor Seyi Makinde, and the people of Oyo State.

“It is with great joy and admiration that I extend my heartfelt congratulations to Prince Akeem Abimbola Owoade on his official appointment to the revered throne as the new Alaafin of Oyo. This moment marks a significant chapter in the illustrious history of Oyo, a kingdom celebrated for its rich culture and traditions.

“I also commend Governor Seyi Makinde for his exemplary leadership and dedication to ensuring a smooth and respectful transition process. His commitment has preserved the unity and dignity of Oyo State during this important period.

“To the people of Oyo and the entire state, this is a moment of pride and renewal. May this new era under the guidance of Alaafin Akeem Abimbola Owoade bring peace, prosperity, and growth to the region.

“As the Alaafin embarks on his reign, I pray that wisdom, strength, and vision guide his leadership, upholding the values of this great institution while fostering unity and development for all.
