Oyo State is in mourning following the passing of Bisola Kola-Daisi, daughter of the late former Governor of Oyo State, Senator Abiola Ajimobi. Friends, family, and associates of the distinguished Ajimobi and Kola-Daisi families have expressed grief over her untimely death.

Among those who have expressed their condolences is Professor Adeniyi Olowofela, the Federal Character Commissioner from Oyo State and former Commissioner for Education. In a heartfelt message, Prof. Olowofela extended his deepest sympathies to the bereaved mother, Mrs. Florence Ajimobi, and the entire Kola-Daisi family.

“I am deeply saddened by the untimely passing of Bisola Kola-Daisi. She was a shining light, and her loss is a profound tragedy not just for her family but for all who knew and loved her. My thoughts and prayers are with Her Excellency, Mrs. Florence Ajimobi, and the entire Ajimobi and Kola-Daisi families during this difficult time,” Prof. Olowofela said.

He further prayed for strength and fortitude for the grieving family, urging them to find solace in the cherished memories of Bisola and the lasting impact of her life.

The late Bisola Kola-Daisi, known for her warmth and grace, leaves behind three children and husband, Kolapo Kola Daisi.

Bisola, the eldest child of the immediate past governor of Oyo State, was married to Kolapo Kola-Daisi, a senatorial candidate under the Accord Party in the 2023 general election.

A former aide to the late governor, who spoke on condition of anonymity, confirmed her passing to journalists on Thursday. He disclosed that Bisola died after a brief illness in the United Kingdom.
