The General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pastor Enoch Adeboye, has spoken out about an AI-generated image circulating on social media that depicted him dressed as an alhaji in Islamic attire. The image, which surfaced in late December, showed Adeboye in the Holy Land of Mecca, Saudi Arabia, and quickly gained attention online.
Addressing the matter during the RCCG’s first Holy Ghost Night of the year, held early on Saturday, January 4, Adeboye took the issue in stride. With a wry smile, he said, “I’m sure many of you saw that picture showing me as an alhaji.” While acknowledging the humor in the situation, he also touched on a deeper concern: the growing presence of mockers. He warned that many such individuals might not survive the year but stressed that God does not desire the death of sinners.
In his message, titled The Glory Ahead, Adeboye offered hope and assurance, emphasizing that despite current global and personal challenges, a brighter future lies ahead. He explained that God is not in a hurry to take people to heaven, as He has a divine mission for them to fulfill on earth.
Adeboye also called for fervent prayers for peace amid ongoing global conflicts, urging the congregation to intercede to prevent another world war. He further prophesied an unprecedented earthquake in 2025, cautioning people to be prepared.
