The rapper was on IG live when police found Marijuana in one of her bags, which she claimed belonged to her security.
Nicki is billed to perform in Manchester today, but she expressed fears that she won’t make it on time if she’s not released to fly to Manchester.
Nicki Minaj Reportedly Released After Amsterdam Arrest for Alleged ‘Drug Possession’
Rapper Nicki Minaj has been released after being arrested in Amsterdam on Saturday, according to multiple reports.
Footage from Minaj’s own Instagram Live showed the 12-time Grammy nominee in an exchange with a police officer, who said she was being detained “because you’re carrying drugs.” Minaj can be heard responding, “I’m not carrying drugs.”

While Minaj’s name was not explicitly mentioned, the Amsterdam police reportedly confirmed her release in a post on the department’s X account (formerly Twitter). The statement said they had “just released a 41-year-old American woman who we arrested this afternoon at Schiphol on suspicion of exporting soft drugs. After consultation with the Public Prosecution Service, the suspect was fined and can continue her journey.”
The incident occurred as Minaj was en route to her next tour stop in Manchester, England. That show has now been postponed due to the arrest, reports say.
Earlier on Saturday, Minaj had taken to X to claim that Amsterdam airport officials were trying to “sabotage” her world tour, alleging they had taken her luggage and suggested they may have planted something on it. She said the officials were trying to make her “late” and “pocket 40K.”

Minaj’s airport and airline disputes follow a recent public feud with fellow rapper Megan Thee Stallion, whom she criticized in a diss track earlier this year. The two have been embroiled in an ongoing rivalry.
Representatives for Minaj did not immediately respond to a request for comment. Amsterdam police told USA TODAY they could not provide information on individuals over 18 due to data privacy laws.
