A security guard was tragically killed in a brutal dog attack at a Lagos estate. Disturbing footage of the scene captured the guard’s body surrounded by aggressive dogs, shocking viewers and raising alarms about animal control in residential areas.

The incident occurred recently when the security guard, whose identity has yet to be confirmed, was found lifeless after being mauled. A bystander recorded the harrowing video, which has since gone viral on social media, prompting widespread outrage.

Lagos State Police spokesperson, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, confirmed that the owner of the dogs has been arrested and an investigation into the circumstances of the fatal attack is underway. Authorities are examining the role of the owner and whether any negligence contributed to the incident.

This tragic event has ignited significant concern regarding the safety of security personnel in estates, who face various hazards including potential dog attacks. Calls have grown for stricter enforcement of animal control laws to prevent similar incidents in the future.
